Ian sits on the Advisory Board of the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization, is an Adjoined Professor at University of Colorado at Colorado Springs and sits on the Science Advisory Board of the College of Letters, Arts and Sciences.
As a recognized industry expert, Mr. Bultema was the founding Executive Editor of Customer Support Management magazine, was Chairman of the largest Customer Relationship Management conferences, and was Chairman and General Manager of the Help Desk Institute, the industry association for the Help Desk and Customer Support industry. In short, Bultema is recognized worldwide as one the most prominent experts in the business of high-tech start ups, and various segments of the software industry. Mr. Bultema is married, and has six kids, including two young girls adopted from China. He serves on a number of charitable and not-for-profit boards, including a role as a board member of Chinese Children's Charities and Chinese Children Adoption International, ventures committed to improving the lives of orphans in China.
Prior to joining the staff of El Pomar Foundation, Gregory held the dual roles of Director of Athletics and Associate Director, Center for the Study of Sport and Leisure, at the University of Colorado-Colorado Springs (UCCS). His positions at UCCS encompassed oversight and direction of the university's athletic department, planning and managing fundraising activities, teaching graduate and undergraduate courses, and working with student-athletes and coaches. Gregory began his career in athletic administration at Ohio State University, where he worked for 10 years as a graduate student, teacher and academic advisor/counselor for student-athletes. He then spent two years at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas as an academic advisor in the athletic department. Before becoming Director of Athletics at UCCS, Gregory served seven years as Assistant Athletic Director for Academic Affairs at the University of Colorado in Boulder. In addition to his work with El Pomar Foundation, Gregory is active as a volunteer with numerous community organizations, including the Boys and Girls Club of the Pikes Peak Region, for which he serves as past President. He is a member Conference of Southwest Foundations membership committee; the Colorado Springs Assets for Youth Community Leaders Forum; the El Paso County Bar Association Diversity Project; Board of Directors of the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization; Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Colorado Springs, the Colorado Springs World Arena and the Denver based Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. In addition, Gregory has served on the United States Olympic Committee Project Gold Committee; Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center Board of Trustees and the El Paso County S.A.L.T. (Seniors and Law Enforcement Working Together) Council. Gregory received his bachelor's degree, magna cum laude, in physical education from Savannah State College. He went on to earn a master's degree in physical education and is a doctoral candidate in sports studies at The Ohio State University. El Pomar Foundation is one of the largest Foundations in the Rocky Mountain region, making grants in arts and humanities, education, health, human services, amateur sports, civic and community initiatives with a special emphasis on excellence in nonprofit organizations and the development of its own operating programs.
Prior to joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Lucy worked as an Air Force Judge Advocate until his retirement as a Colonel in 2001. He has served as the General Counsel for the United States Air Force Academy, Air Force Space Command (20th Air Force), and the Field Operations Directorate of the Air Force Inspector General. Mr. Lucy has been the legal advisor for a $50 million RFP to privatize all utilities for the Air Force Academy. He has also provided legal counsel to an 800-member faculty for all research and development programs, which included patent/copyright issues. Other projects Mr. Lucy has been involved with while on active duty include a $14 million flight training privatization program and associated environmental impacts, OMB Circular A-76 implementation projects, the National Missile Defense System bed down study, the construction of a new $11 million Air Force legal training facility and dormitory and the management of all contracts for the construction of a $2 million minimum custody federal prison. He has also been responsible for the administration of all Air Force criminal defense services in Europe and the administration of the Air Force pro-government recovery claims program. Since joining Holland & Hart, Mr. Lucy has negotiated a $160 million contract between a client and the state of Michigan for a child support enforcement system that entails software development and deployment through 90 state field offices. He has also filed a successful bid protest on behalf of another client winning an award of a $5 million contract, and has successfully settled a significant construction claim against the Army Corps of Engineers for $200,000. He helped found the Colorado Springs Technology Incubator and currently serves as its President and CEO. Gary was a previous founder of two highly successful software companies that were sold to publicly traded companies. He served as EVP of Sales and Marketing for Sendero Corporation which was purchased in 1985 by FISERV, Inc. (NASDAQ, FISV) and President and CEO of Systems Integration Software, Inc. which was purchased in 1999 by SM&A Corporation (NASDAQ, WINS). He received the Seymour Cray Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 1999 for recognition of his professional career and community service. In addition to being a member of the Advisory Board for the El Pomar Institute for Innovation and Commercialization (EPIIC), he serves on the Board of Directors for the Colorado Springs United Way, and Vectra Bank of Colorado Springs (advisory board). Gary helped found the Colorado Springs chapter of the National Jobs Partnership program (NJP). NJP, headquartered in Raleigh, NC, focuses its curriculum on enhancing life skills and job opportunities for the underprivileged and disenfranchised youth within Colorado Springs. Laura McGuire is a successful entrepreneur, having founded two companies in the lead management and demand generation industry. Laura is an internationally recognized expert in demand generation and lead management and is a frequent speaker at industry and association meetings and conventions in the United States and abroad. She is on several boards of directors and consults on new-technology marketing both in the U.S. and Europe.
Mr. Semmens has, for more than 30 years, demonstrated the acumen to develop and resource high quality organizations to successfully pursue and exploit business and organizational opportunities. His strengths range from the discernment of opportunities, including the development of outstanding personnel and team capabilities, and extend through the design and implementation of high quality/performance organizational structures and project management. Mr. Semmens began his career as a technologist and project manager, and rapidly progressed through management ranks to executive level responsibility. He has performed at this level in both large organizations and entrepreneurial start-ups. Executive responsibility includes the following: current President and Founder of the Semmens Group, LLC; current Cofounder and Principal of Austin Growth Management and Investments; past Chairman, CEO, and President of Electrosource, Inc., a publicly traded technology/manufacturing company; Corporate Vice President of BDM International, Inc. a major information systems and technology corporation; President of major BDM subsidiaries; Board member/chairman of private companies; past President of Engineering Dean's Council of Colorado State University; numerous community Board positions in education, business development, manufacturing and engineering excellence, and youth athletic activities . In these positions, Mr. Semmens has been responsible for strategic planning, marketing and business development, organization operations and administration (contracts, security, quality, personnel and accounting), acquisitions, financing (more than $50 million in private finance), research and development, and contract execution. Mr. Semmens is a current member of the WPO (World President's Organization), former member of the YPO (Young President's Organization), recipient of the R&D 100 Award for developing one of the 100 most significant products of 1996, recipient of engineering and quality achievement awards, registered Professional Engineer in five states (TX, Colorado, CA, AZ, NM), and a member of numerous professional management and engineering organizations. Mr. Semmens graduated from Colorado State University. He was a graduate teaching assistant where he performed biomedical engineering research under the sponsorship of the National Science Foundation, and received honors as a graduate student. He later served as the President of the Engineering Dean.s council. Mr. Semmens, a native of Colorado Springs, and his wife Cheryl make their home in Colorado Springs.
Jim is currently President of Securics, Inc. Securics was established in 2004 to enhance biometrics systems by providing technology that improves performance and balances security with privacy. Jim is also Chairman of the Southern Colorado Investor Group in Colorado Springs, and President of the Peak Venture Group in Colorado Springs. Jim has provided companies with the skills, expertise and leadership to develop and implement a comprehensive business plan based on sound financial and marketing strategies that provide infrastructure, goals and objectives while facilitating the identification and procurement of required resources. He is experienced at marketing complex systems direct to Fortune 1000 companies, commercial and B2B marketing through multiple channels, and consumer software through retail distribution and the Internet. He has the proven ability to manage complex projects, develop international markets and form strategic alliances. Jim holds a B.S. Degree Engineering (Electronics, Telecommunications) University of California Los Angeles.
Wolf is responsible for business planning, reporting, accounting and financial statements. Most recently, Wolf worked for Agilent Technologies where she started as a Merger and Acquisition Integrating Manager. Prior to joining Agilent Technologies in 2000, Wolf worked for Honeywell, Inc., Cray Computer Corporation, Telectronics Pacing Systems and SRC Computers, Inc. She began her career with Current, Inc in 1983 as a Cost Accountant. She later advanced her expertise in finance and attained a position as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer for SRC Computers, Inc., in 1996. She then worked with Global Financial Services as a Quality, Communications & Organization Development Manager. Wolf received a bachelor of science in accounting from the University of Colorado. She also holds an MBA in Finance from University of Colorado and MA in Global Studies, from the University of Denver. She is a Certified Management Accountant and has been published in several financial magazines and newsletters. One of her most recent articles was, "Integration: Key to M&A Success," Published in Financial Executive Magazine, September 2003. |
